Gen. 5:1-2, “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” People have spirits, because God created them in His style, but animals do not have spirits. God's blessed spirit is more important than the sun, rain, and food that animals need. Therefore, we should understand that we are God-made human beings rather than higher animals.
