Daily Scripture Meditation

Gen. 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” God created some creatures as a metaphor to explain His truth; the snake metaphor here shows the work of the evil spirit Satan, using skeptical questions to confuse people to trust and follow God's teachings. We must be alert to Satan's thoughtfulness and greetings.
