Ps. 4:7-8, “Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” Those who eat the heavenly bread are no longer greedy for the delicious food on earth; those who are with God can rest in peace during the storm. Therefore, we must take up the cross every day to imitate the style of the Lord Jesus; and in Him we may overcome the world and obtain the good fruits of the rich life.
