Daily Scripture Meditation

Hos. 6:6, “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Offering sacrifice by God’s people with sin in their hearts is not acceptable to God. Similarly, when we worship God in the church, if we have the words and deeds contrary to God's teachings as well as our bitter minds, God will not delight in us. When we depart from sin and clean the sin in our hearts, the Holy Spirit may anoint our spirits with the Word of God and give us the heavenly peace and joy.
