Ps. 23:5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” One of the Jewish traditional feasts is to drink and eat for peace with the enemy in order to enjoy peace in the world; this is also the blessing of God to His people. And the Lord Jesus also taught His disciples to love the enemy. When we do not have any resentment, jealousy, comparisons, and disputes in our hearts, God's peace, joy and true love are revealed in our lives.
