Daily Scripture Meditation

I Cor. 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” We do not preach the gospel based on preference or willingness or choice or opportunistic purpose, but the slave does what he does not want to do as prescribed by his master. He is accusing sin and offending people, telling all the heavy messages of the full gospel that few people want to listen to, and even being persecuted by fellow church members. Paul paid the cost and was rewarded by God.
