So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.” David obeyed the prophet's instruction and made offerings to God with his true repent. Then God inspected his contrite soul and ended His punishment. When we have sinned, we must repent to God sincerely; the loving Lord will forgive us and renew our lives.
